The blade of the automatic hydraulic knife is made from industry-standard 420 HC stainless steel, a standard blade material because it offers the wear resistance of a high-carbon alloy and the corrosion resistance of chrome stainless steel. This material, coupled with a unique heat-treating process, gives the blade both excellent corrosion resistance and outstanding wear strength and durability. In addition, the blades are easy to resharpen. For best performance, harden to Rockwell hardness 58-60 HRC.
